Industrial Maintenance Technician

Kreider Farms, a leading egg producer in Pennsylvania, is seeking skilled Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join its Maintenance teams at various Egg Processing locations. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art robotic packaging and palletizing equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Configuration: Install and configure electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in equipment, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to comply with company policies and industry regulations, and work closely with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems is preferred, and 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including electrical, general maintenance, robotics, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Certifications and Problem-Solving Skills: Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician, etc.) are a plus, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively diagnose and resolve issues.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and report findings.
