Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Dartmouth Health. As a key member of our eye care team, you will be responsible for assisting with patient flow, performing clinical duties, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient flow and navigation through the clinic
- Perform comprehensive intake examinations and ancillary testing
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Inventory, cleaning, and maintenance of ophthalmic supplies and equipment
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures
- Provide patient education and instructions
- Assist fellow staff and physicians with daily tasks
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of experience in an Ophthalmology practice required
- Current International Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (iJCAHPO) certification as Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) required
- Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days
