Medical Oncologist Position at Veterans Health Administration

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at the Marion VA Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a difference in the lives of our nation's veterans.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will spend most of their time in direct patient care, providing compassionate and evidence-based medical oncology services. In addition to patient care, they may also be involved in supervising nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or medical students, as well as undertaking some administrative work as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical oncology and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
What We Offer- Competitive Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
- Bonuses and Performance Awards: Eligible for annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
- Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, and 11 paid Federal holidays.
- Retirement Benefits: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.
- Insurance Coverage: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance plans.
- Licensure and Certification: Must hold a full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory and board certification in medical oncology.
- CME Reimbursement: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement for continuing medical education expenses.
