Overview:

Bileddo Associates is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mammography Supervisor to oversee imaging operations within a state-of-the-art Women's Center. This facility is part of a reputable healthcare organization known for its commitment to providing exceptional patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Mammography Supervisor will:

  • Mentor and train fellow mammography technologists, ensuring a high standard of practice.
  • Coordinate schedules with various departments to facilitate smooth daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Radiology, Diagnostic Services, and Radiologists to supervise and execute technical procedures.

Essential Duties:

In this role, you will:

  • Exhibit a proactive mindset, striving to achieve personal and team objectives.
  • Develop and maintain diagnostic procedures while ensuring staff adherence.
  • Oversee the training and evaluation of students and staff.
  • Perform mammograms, bone density tests, and biopsies in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Review and assess digital images to confirm their adequacy for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by providing clear explanations and monitoring conditions.
  • Implement radiation safety measures to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
  • Collaborate with clerical staff and other technologists to optimize workflow.
  • Provide training on new equipment and techniques to team members.
  • Conduct quality assurance studies and perform minor equipment repairs as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An associate degree in X-ray Technology or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital radiology setting.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
