About the Job

Focusing on delivering exceptional patient care, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team for a 13-week contract in Lenoir, North Carolina. This role will involve operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Job Summary

We require an experienced MRI Technologist with a strong background in performing complex MRI procedures and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of continuous experience as an MRI Technologist, be proficient in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II, and possess a valid license in the required state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform patient studies according to set protocols, including placing specified coils close to areas of interest.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures, addressing their concerns and exhibiting tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements

  • At least two years of continuous experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • Valid license in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 per year, based on 40 hours of work per week and 10-hour shifts. However, please note that pay may vary depending on location and experience.
