Position Overview:

The Corporate Controller plays a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the organization. This position is responsible for the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with various regulations.



Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership: Directs the General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  2. Financial Oversight: Manages the integrity of the General Ledger, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and reconciled.
  3. Reporting: Guarantees timely preparation and analysis of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  4. Variance Analysis: Prepares monthly comparisons of actual results against budgeted figures.
  5. Audit Coordination: Organizes documentation for annual audits and tax filings.
  6. Tax Management: Oversees tax accruals and payments, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  7. Budgeting: Participates in the annual budgeting process, providing insights on revenue and expenditure forecasts.
  8. Team Development: Supervises and mentors team members, promoting professional growth and effective performance.
  9. Performance Improvement: Implements cost control measures and reporting systems to enhance profitability.
  10. System Enhancement: Contributes to the improvement of financial systems and processes, leveraging technology for better accuracy and efficiency.
  11. Ethical Standards: Promotes compliance and ethical practices throughout the organization.


Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degrees or CPA preferred.
  2. Proficiency in accounting software, with a preference for Viewpoint/Vista.
  3. A minimum of ten years in accounting, with significant experience in construction or manufacturing sectors.
  4. Strong grasp of accounting principles and the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  5. Experience in team management and development.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.


Additional Information:

This role operates primarily in an office setting, with occasional field visits as necessary. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a professional environment and ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently.
