Job Responsibilities:

As a vital member of the financial team, this role involves performing essential accounting functions and managing receivables records. The position is responsible for auditing assessed charges and ensuring the accuracy of accounting entries within the Agency's financial system. Compliance with all relevant fee legislation, statutes, and regulations is paramount. This role also ensures adherence to state regulations governing fee collection activities for assigned areas and may involve additional tasks to meet billing timelines effectively.

Key Duties:
  • Oversee fee collection for designated programs, which includes generating invoices, processing refunds, and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Manage data quality related to accounts receivable, including verification of account activity and report generation.
  • Maintain organized documentation for daily operations and coordinate billing activities with team members.
  • Act as a backup for the Returned Check System, handling data entry and communication with payors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to various technical and administrative activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma with professional experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or banking is required. A bachelor's degree with relevant coursework may substitute for work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Environmental Health.
  • A minimum of four years of accounting experience.
