This role is responsible for providing high-quality nutrition care to pediatric patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure integrated and compatible care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nutrition, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients with complex nutritional needs.
- Develop and implement nutrition interventions, including enteral and parenteral nutrition support, to meet the unique needs of pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition and nutrition-related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of nutrition protocols and guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in pediatric nutrition.
- Bachelor's degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in pediatric nutrition, with at least two years in a clinical setting.
- RD/RDN (Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist) credential and specialty certification in pediatric nutrition (CSP) or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply critical thinking to complex nutritional problems.
