We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Exide Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily supervision and workflow planning of plant maintenance projects and personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct maintenance personnel in the completion of environmental, facility, and process improvement projects.
- Develop and implement daily routine checklists to ensure efficient and organized project completion.
- Manage attendance and payroll activities for maintenance staff.
- Work with production supervisors to plan and implement project activities involving internal maintenance.
- Integrate projects and assignments with other departments.
- Manage the PDM, PM, and breakdown repairs of plant process and auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure maintenance employees follow safety policies and procedures, including Blood Lead Reduction, lockout, mobile equipment, NFPA 70E, crane/rigging, and other applicable safety policies.
- Audit daily maintenance activities, including completion and usage of Safe Work, Hot Work, and other safety-related work permits.
- Minimum of two years of technical degree or equivalent in experience.
- Four years of experience working in a progressive maintenance organization with prior supervisory experience.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, FMEA's, RCFA's, and autonomous maintenance.
- Ability to operate CMMS software programs, experience with MP2 a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).
- Experience with Toyota Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma Certification a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate in response to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
The maintenance supervisor will be provided with all necessary PPE for working in an environment where exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme heat and humidity will occur. 35% of the work day will be in an office setting, and 65% will be in the operating areas of the facility. Noise levels in areas of the manufacturing facility may be above 85db. Full face respirators are required inside the manufacturing facility.
