Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Exide Technologies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance activities and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel, including hourly and contract workers.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential maintenance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to plan and implement maintenance activities that support production goals.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or industrial technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading maintenance teams and improving equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Supervisor will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work at heights, as well as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
