TRAVELING PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT – COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A reputable General Contractor based in Southern California is in search of a skilled Construction Project Superintendent to oversee both Ground-up and Tenant Improvement commercial ventures.

This position entails managing the daily functions of the construction site, along with supervising subcontractor coordination and scheduling. Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational abilities, possess multitasking skills, and have a moderate proficiency with laptops and digital cameras. A willingness to travel to various project sites is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee, direct, and finalize projects across multiple locations necessitating travel.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to or surpassing OSHA regulations.
  • Foster positive professional relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Coordinate and enforce timelines with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Exhibit responsibility, accountability, and initiative to advance projects independently.
  • Identify and communicate design flaws, scheduling conflicts, or project-specific issues to the Project Manager proactively.
  • Guarantee that all work is executed according to plans and specifications, while maintaining timelines and rigorously applying quality control standards.
  • Monitor and report all expenditures.
  • Document daily activities through photographs and prepare site safety reports.

Qualifications

  • Must possess reliable transportation and be willing to travel over 70% of the time.
  • Experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, particularly with new ground-up projects, is required.
  • Proficiency with computers (laptops), smartphones/tablets, and digital cameras is necessary.
  • Experience with Procore is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organized candidates are essential.
  • Resume should include references and a list of completed projects.

Compensation is based on experience, ranging from $62,400 to $104,000.
