Job Summary:

Vincennes University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Coach to join our team. As a Learning Coach, you will provide one-on-one or small group support for Early College Program students, working closely with teachers to monitor the academic progress of students who are struggling with courses in the early college setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Support: Provide academic tutoring in Math for students, customizing and crafting effective plans that address student weaknesses and strengths.
  • Student Development: Assist, evaluate, develop, and integrate students in learning, motivating them to feel successful and confident.
  • Relationship Building: Foster meaningful relationships with students and faculty, providing ongoing communication regarding the academic progress of individual students.
  • Study Skills Development: Develop study skills specifically tailored to the student's needs, teaching referred students how to learn by providing them with study skills and study habits.
  • Progress Evaluation: Evaluate student's progress in order to document improvements or identify additional support needs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Earned baccalaureate with twelve hours in college-level Math.
  • Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills, with experience using Word, Excel, and VU computer records and learning systems.
