About the Role:
As a Behavioral Health Specialist at I Am Boundless, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to work directly in an emergency residential therapeutic setting, providing constant engagement and supervision to individuals in need of behavior stabilization. You will implement programs tailored to each individual's needs, based on their Individualized Support Plan (ISP), and utilize Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to teach expected behavior and life skills. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing highly structured Behavior Support Plans and other approaches as determined by the team. Crisis intervention may be required for issues such as self-injury, aggression, and high-magnitude disruptive behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA and other therapeutic approaches to support individuals in need of behavior stabilization
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each individual
- Provide constant engagement and supervision to individuals in the emergency residential therapeutic setting
- Crisis intervention for issues such as self-injury, aggression, and high-magnitude disruptive behavior
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years of experience working with intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals and experience implementing ABA or a related field
- Ability to communicate in English, including both spoken and written
- First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant; delegated nursing
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance
