Heavy Duty Diesel Fleet Technician

Performance Foodservice seeks a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and electrical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
- Ensure all company fleet vehicles are properly licensed and registered.
- Conduct thorough documentation of work orders through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Train and provide guidance to junior mechanics.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
