Job Responsibilities

As a CDL A driver for Ace Hardware, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods to and from distribution centers and stores. You will work independently to provide superior customer service, using electric pallet jacks when possible and newer, well-maintained tractors and equipment.

Drivers must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway signs and signals, converse with customers and the general public, and make entries on reports and records.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have a minimum of 1 year of Class A tractor-trailer on-road experience or comparable experience with large military vehicles. Verifiable driving experience must be within the past 3 years, and you must have no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years.

You must also have a valid CDL, a hazardous material endorsement, and be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card prior to onboarding. Additionally, you must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and be willing to participate in the DOT random drug testing program.
