Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including baked goods, entrees, and desserts, following standardized recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Portion and serve food in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, kettles, and ovens, to prepare and cook food.
- Work effectively with our dietary team to plan and prepare meals that meet the nutritional needs of our patients and residents.
- Collaborate with our facilities team to ensure that our dining areas are clean and well-maintained.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience in a food service or culinary setting.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure ingredients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on location.
