Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to residents in our long-term care facility, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role requires a strong understanding of age-appropriate care and the ability to deliver high-quality care to residents with varying needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
  • Assist residents with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
  • Obtain and record vital signs, and provide psychosocial support to residents
  • Assist with food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
