**Job Summary**

VHC Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the clinical environment is clean, stocked, and ready for patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for transport to labs
  • Take vital signs and prepare patients for procedures
  • Assist with patient flow and provide general clinical support to physicians and other staff
  • Answer phones, make appointments, collect co-pays and payment, and assist with billing
  • Add information to the electronic medical record

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduation from a medical assisting degree/program preferred
  • Six months of healthcare experience required
  • One year of healthcare/medical - primary care/office experience preferred
  • One year of medical terminology experience required
  • Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard required
  • Experience in clinical pharmacology required
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred
  • BLS certification required
