Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our registration team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patients through our facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Verify patient and guarantor demographics, insurance information, and other key ADT data to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
  • Complete and document all necessary forms and paperwork, including governmental, regulatory, and financial documents.
  • Utilize our price estimation tool to provide accurate estimates to patients and meet departmental targets for upfront collections.
  • Participate in departmental QA efforts to minimize errors and improve registration processes.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Arts/Business preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Customer-service oriented and proficient in written and oral communications.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 36 hours per week. The incumbent will be required to work every other weekend and three holidays per year, as needed. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing excellent patient care and service.
