Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Crane Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mobile cranes and rolling stock equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mobile cranes and rolling stock equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, using your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Generate sales leads during service calls, identifying opportunities to grow our business.
  • Accurately document all work performed on service reports, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Conduct regular inspections of cranes and mobile equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Travel may be required within the Casper/Gillette/Cheyenne region, with a company-provided work vehicle.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel, and gas engine theory, as well as DC automotive power.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mobile equipment repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work overtime, as required, to meet business needs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Proven commitment to safety, with a focus on preventing accidents and injuries.
  • Comfort with working at heights, with a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
  • Experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming is a plus.
  • Experience working with or around mobile cranes, overhead cranes, or crane maintenance is highly desirable.
