Overview:

As a Facilities Operations Engineer at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in overseeing, maintaining, and enhancing the functionality of building systems. Your expertise will encompass various domains, including plumbing, electrical systems, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, and fire safety systems, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies regarding building operations and safety protocols.
  • Implement and manage an energy efficiency program to optimize system performance.
  • Assist in developing a preventive maintenance strategy to extend the lifespan of building machinery and systems, including emergency repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Review and inspect building systems such as fire alarms and HVAC to confirm operational effectiveness and compliance with design specifications.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of engineering principles to tackle complex challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Mentor team members and share extensive knowledge across various disciplines within the engineering function.
  • Demonstrate leadership by embodying CBRE's core values and fostering collaboration among team members.
  • Impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency through effective teamwork and communication.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with 4-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred.
  • Possession of any necessary certifications or licenses as required by local or state regulations.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects (50 lbs or more), climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on diverse information sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
