We are seeking a skilled Ambulatory Nurse to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As an Ambulatory Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and facilitate competent healthcare to patients and families in the Ambulatory setting.
- Ensure adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Document patient care accurately and completely.
- Provide health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
- Act as a preceptor and support the development of other staff and healthcare students.
- Assist in the development of departmental standing orders.
- Coordinate care for patients and perform telephone triage.
- Assist with in-office wound care and other procedures.
- Provide education for patients with newly diagnosed diabetes.
- Administer immunizations and medications.
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in Illinois.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
- Demonstrate clinical competencies in providing direct patient care and patient and family education.
- Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with others.
