Job Title: Network Engineer

Join Motion Recruitment Partners, a leading recruitment agency, in our search for a skilled Network Engineer to join our client's team in Athens, GA.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Engineer to help design, install, configure, maintain, and document network systems across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and a strong understanding of network administration, including LANs, WANs, routes, VLANS, VPNs, WLANs, VOIP, firewalls, web content filtering, secure E-mail appliances, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide network administration, including managing LANs, WANs, routes, VLANS, VPNs, WLANs, VOIP, firewalls, web content filtering, secure E-mail appliances, and emerging technologies.
  • Offer suggestions in network design and architecture.
  • Provide support to network infrastructure initiatives in the areas of preventative maintenance, configuration back-ups, capacity planning, network redundancy, and disaster recovery.
  • Monitor network infrastructure through network monitoring software, wireless LAN controllers, and other software tools.
  • Use SNMP network management software and other diagnostic tools to ensure reliable network operation.
  • Trouble ticket prioritization and resolution, all INTERNET Protocol (IP) address allocation and tracking, design and implementation of network growth plan for global TCP/IP Internet network, including allocation of bandwidth based on projected usage, recommendation of network hardware, software, and connectivity to accommodate traffic growth and load balancing and redundancy plans using dynamic routing.
Qualifications:
  • Three (3) years of work experience including hands-on knowledge of the installation, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco networking equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
