Job Summary

Talascend is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the management of small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure team safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate small work teams to achieve business metrics and implement production processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality, throughput, and cost targets.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by leading the team to improve safety and enforcing the use of mandated safety tools and procedures.
  • Coordinate activities to achieve business objectives and implement production way (SPW) processes and initiatives.
  • Proactively analyze quality KPIs related to the zone, prioritize quality issues, and guide team leaders.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in supervision in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead teams and coach/mentor/develop team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a union environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite software programs.
