Floor Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Floor Inspector to join our team at Greenwood Mills, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our fabrics by conducting thorough inspections of cloth running in the weave room.

• Patrol the weave room to inspect cloth as it is being produced, identifying any defects or irregularities.
• Record defects on the loom computer and work with the team to correct them immediately.
• Fill out quality control tickets and inform supervisors of any issues.
• Responsible for obtaining swatches of new styles and checking for defects.
• Follow up on looms that have been turned in for seconds.
• Responsible for obtaining warp swatches and checking for defects.

• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a close work relationship with fixers and associates.
• Knowledge of fabric formation on the loom and ability to recognize first quality and off quality defects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and write legibly and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to distinguish colors and defects that occur in the weaving process.

This is a production floor position that requires standing for long periods and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed and follow all safety rules prescribed by the plant.
