Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic team at Mercy. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient-centered care, ensuring the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients are met.
  • Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care, evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
  • Coordinate patient care with other departments, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Protect patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information, adhering to our organization's strict confidentiality policies.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Current RN licensure within the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
