We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of power systems for our radar programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for radar programs in the area of power supply design and power subsystems.
  • Be responsible for research, design, and development of power circuits and systems used in radar applications.
  • Execute all stages of a challenging power supply/power system design, ensuring adequate trade studies, architectures, technical analysis, common hardware solutions, quality of products, and proper engineering process and methodology.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead/interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Interact directly with various internal/external customers to work through technical issues and program planning.

You will be part of a dynamic team of engineers and scientists who are passionate about advancing the state-of-the-art in radar technology. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 9 years of experience; or 7 years of experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Experience with circuit design in one or more of the following areas: power supplies, power systems, power conversion, power architecture.
  • Leading a team of design engineers.
  • AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion design implementation and trades experience including linear and switch mode power supplies.
  • Power budget, power loss.
  • Power supply design simulation analysis tools (i.e. PSpice, LTSpice).
  • Circuit design, board layout, and schematics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with power filter, power quality, EMI. Low power and high-power conversion (Watts to KW) Harmonic distortion, ripple, and noise. Power system design from system power to sub-system to board level.
  • Low frequency analog design.
  • Design for pulsed load and high-power applications.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Hands-on individual that desires to work with actual hardware.
  • Power system simulation and modeling experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • PSIM.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275.
  • Cross-functional or integrated product team leadership experience.
  • Cost account management experience.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management and tracking practices.
