Job Title: Software Test Engineer

RBR Technologies is a leading provider of information and technology services, committed to delivering customer mission success. We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team in Odenton, MD.

The successful candidate will support our DCSA customer by testing data analytic services that integrate with existing web application development. This will involve gathering and analyzing requirements, converting requirements into test cases and procedures, and ensuring operational IT solutions meet system requirements and policy.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
  • Executing tests on software usability
  • Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
  • Preparing reports on all aspects related to software testing
  • Interacting with clients to understand product requirements
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Substitute 4 additional years of experience without a Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with various Microsoft technologies such as MS Office 2013 and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision
  • Robust understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), to include requirements collection, validation and decomposition
  • Good understanding of agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with Cypress
  • Security + Certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Visual Studio Code
  • Time Travel and Test Runner
  • DOM interaction and Debuggability
  • Automatic Waiting and Assertions
  • Screenshots and Videos
  • Cross-browser Testing
  • Understanding of Secure Agile Framework methodologies
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite of tools to include JIRA & Confluence
  • KM Platforms (SharePoint, MS Teams, Wiki tools) experience
  • Background in DoD testing policy, to include DoD Instruction 5000.87 - Software Acquisition Pathway
  • Participating in DoD testing, specifically DISA and DCSA test policies
  • Top Secret clearance
