The Sales Associate plays a vital role in assisting the Not New Shop Manager and Lead in the daily operations of the shop. This position is essential in ensuring that exceptional service is delivered to customers while fostering a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in executing the comprehensive sales strategy for the shop, including promotional activities aimed at attracting potential customers.

- Provide constructive feedback to the Not New Shop Manager and Lead regarding merchandise and sales performance.

- Collaborate with the NNS Manager and Lead on product merchandising, which includes in-store and window displays, and train volunteers to assist in these efforts.

- Support special sales initiatives in partnership with the Manager, Coordinator, and Supervisor.

- Ensure merchandise is restocked as necessary.

- Work closely with NNS volunteers, offering training and support while effectively delegating responsibilities to foster strong working relationships.

- Contribute to achieving the financial and operational objectives of the gift shops, understanding the overall strategy and budget while adhering to operational policies.

- Assist with product receipt, donations, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.

- Support the NNS Manager and Lead in managing the daily operations of the Gift Shops.

- Demonstrate the ability to meet departmental work schedules.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

- High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Experience:

- Previous experience in retail, particularly in a thrift shop setting, along with experience in supervising volunteers or employees.

Licenses/Certifications:

- Valid driver's license is required for work-related driving.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer applications, including Outlook and Microsoft Office.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage both volunteers and staff.

- Vision for growth and development of Volunteer Services.

- Effective time management and creative problem-solving abilities.

- Positive attitude and strong project management skills.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds.

Additional Information:

- Familiarity with Point of Sale systems is preferred.
