Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Contract position
Compensation: $34 - $37/hr on W2
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and upkeep of plant or office facilities, as well as machinery and equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble intricate machinery to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Perform root cause analysis to support reliability initiatives, collaborating with vendors, engineering teams, customers, and management to resolve equipment issues and formulate corrective actions.
- Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment using blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Position heavy equipment and installed property according to established methods.
- Prepare machine foundations, assemble structures, and install both floor and overhead conveying systems.
- Execute all necessary rigging tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in maintaining, repairing, programming, and troubleshooting industrial PCs, CNCs, and PLCs.
- Experience in PLC programming, including ladder logic, function block, and statement list.
- Familiarity with machine geometry and alignment using lasers and precision measuring tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Solid understanding of industrial electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics, and structural maintenance.
- Capability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience operating computers and maintenance diagnostic tools, including digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and vibration analysis equipment.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Background in machine assembly, installations, and general machine shop tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify necessary repair and maintenance work to prevent equipment breakdowns.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC, PLC, and electrical controls.
- Availability to work various shifts, primarily 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- On-site position in Kinston.
Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime as required
