Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment, performing daily safety inspections, and ensuring buses operate in a safe and comfortable condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all business-related vehicles, including heavy and light duty equipment
  • Keep assigned work area clean and organized
  • Maintain DOT card and Class B driver license
Requirements
  • Graduation from a diesel trade school preferred, a high school diploma or equivalent required
  • A valid Class B driver license with Passenger endorsement and excellent motor vehicle record required
  • Three to five years recent bus or heavy-duty truck repair experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, and various heavy equipment engines, transmissions, starting and charging systems, air brake systems, electrical systems, and component overhaul procedures
  • Ability to operate hoists, machine tools, and other related equipment
  • Basic computer knowledge
