Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to serve as a Head Teacher for our NAEYC Accredited Early Learning Program. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education, with a minimum of 12 credits in Early Childhood Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards and NAEYC standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, families, and children.
  • Attend mandatory School Readiness trainings and obtain certification in First Aid (CT Childcare)/CPR if not already certified.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with CT State Licensing regulations and implement best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education.
  • Minimum of 12 credits in Early Childhood Education.
  • Knowledge of the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards and NAEYC standards.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, families, and children.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is desirable but not mandatory.
