Job Overview

Sinclair Broadcast Group is in search of a Pricing Strategy Specialist to enhance our Yield Management Team. This role will leverage your analytical expertise to significantly impact the growth and profitability goals within the Sinclair Sales Organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate inventory across diverse revenue channels and conduct research to provide pricing insights
  • Oversee the establishment of rate cards and allocate inventory to optimize revenue generation
  • Act as an internal consultant to Sales leaders for pricing strategies, inventory analytics, and various Ad-hoc inquiries
  • Collaborate with Sinclair television stations to maximize political advertising revenue by utilizing internal analytics
  • Contribute to the development of pricing optimization software in partnership with internal teams and external partners
  • Assess the Sinclair Network's business landscape and offer strategic pricing recommendations based on multiple internal datasets
  • Communicate and analyze ad inventory forecasting, rate card pricing, and packaging strategies with Sales Management for all audience product opportunities, including Digital, Internet, Mobile, and OTT
  • Examine the popularity of television programs nationwide and understand trends to inform inventory management
  • Engage with Sinclair's Engineering, Legal, News, Operations, Sales, and other departments as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel is preferred
  • Experience with data reporting systems, such as IBM Cognos and CRM, is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with pricing and sales planning economics is beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in any business or communications field and/or 2 years of relevant experience
  • On-site work is required
  • Sales experience is a plus
