Emerald Health Services is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a Travel Assignment

Shift: Variable D/E with start times ranging from 6:45 AM to 10:00 AM, 8x5 schedule, 40 hours per week, no weekends, no on-call duties.

Duration: 8 weeks

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
  • BLS Certification

**VARIABLE START TIMES:** Start times from 06:45 to 10:00

Certification & Licensure:

BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

Typical Experience:

1 year of recent relevant experience.

No weekends, No on-call duties

As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing the sterile environment for surgical procedures, including the setup of sterile instruments, assisting surgeons with gowning and gloving, and draping patients for surgery. You will provide direct support to the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, and anticipating the needs of the surgeons throughout the procedure. Additionally, you will contribute to the operational efficiency of the department by managing supplies and performing necessary equipment maintenance and setup. It is essential to adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety, thereby delivering optimal patient care. You may also assist in orienting new staff members to the department.
