Job Title: Director, Behavioral Health Services

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Behavioral Health Services to lead our behavioral health team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the day-to-day integrated clinical operations of our ambulatory clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and systems to improve operational productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize behavioral health billing and collections.
  • Work with quality teams to implement best practices in quality processes for behavioral health services.
  • Provide direct supervision, including hiring, clinic orientation, scheduling, discipline, performance evaluations, training, work allocation, staff competencies, and problem resolution.
  • Diagnose or evaluate mental, emotional, and substance use disorders of individuals and administer programs of treatment.
  • Treat psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various psychological techniques.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate or terminal degree in Psychology, and completion of Pre-doctoral Clinical Internship.
  • At least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • State of NM Licensed Psychologist, or eligibility for NM licensure.
