Position Title: Resident Care Assistants/Home Health Aides

We seek compassionate and devoted individuals who are passionate about empowering residents to enjoy each day to the fullest. As a Resident Care Assistant/Home Health Aide, you will be instrumental in delivering hands-on support with kindness and dignity. Your commitment significantly enhances the well-being and quality of life for our residents at The Bristal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with their daily living activities (ADLs)
  • Accompany residents during meals and leisure activities
  • Support residents in improving their physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Collaborate within the Wellness team to ensure residents' safety and comfort
  • Follow all protocols and guidance from supervisors diligently

Required Qualifications:

  • NY-Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification
  • Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia is a plus
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written
  • Previous experience assisting the elderly with ADLs
  • Ability to follow care routines and directives effectively
  • Understanding of dementia care and patience in resident interactions
  • Skill in positively adapting to various personalities and situations
  • Proven reliability, empathy, and a gentle approach
  • Maintain a deep respect for seniors and remain composed in all situations
