Job Overview

The Audio Investment Manager is a remote role that reports directly to the Senior Manager of Network Audio Investment. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of national audio purchases for designated clients.

In addition to traditional radio, the role may encompass digital audio and podcasting initiatives based on the specific account framework.

The Audio Investment Manager also leads negotiations and monitors performance metrics to ensure quality standards are met and that purchases align with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to network audio suppliers.
  • Conduct research on network submissions utilizing ACT 1 and RADAR.
  • Negotiate schedules for both traditional and digital audio (when relevant) that align with client objectives and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with assistants to input and monitor purchases in Media Ocean.
  • Generate and analyze writer reports from Media Ocean Billing Discrepancies.
  • Address discrepancies as workload permits, utilizing Prisma and DCM (if applicable).
  • Input digital audio schedules into Prisma for traffic management.
  • Monitor weekly delivery performance of digital audio vendors.
  • Work with supervisors on post-buy evaluations.
  • Negotiate compensatory weight for under-delivery scenarios.
  • Manage direct client relationships based on account requirements.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to present buys and reports to clients and team members.
  • Oversee client budgets effectively.
  • Partner with the management team to develop marketplace cost-per-point (CPP) and cost-per-thousand (CPM) strategies.
  • Assist supervisors in creating marketplace updates.
  • Foster relationships with external client vendors.
  • Engage closely with planning teams to formulate client strategies.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to develop marketplace updates and finalize recommendations.
  • Participate in the creative production process when opportunities arise.
