Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at 22nd Century Technologies Inc. The successful candidate will provide clinical support to our Speech-Language Pathologists, assisting with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, following documented treatment plans and protocols.
  • Document student performance, including data collection and analysis.
  • Prepare charts, records, and graphs to track student progress.
  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists with assessments and evaluations of students.
  • Prepare therapy materials and equipment for use in classroom and therapy activities.
  • Adapt or modify instructional materials and equipment as needed to meet student needs.
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and assist with departmental operations.
  • Collect data for quality improvement and participate in District inservice programs.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • A valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; training and/or experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities detailed above.
  • Typical qualifying experience would include: one year of experience providing direct therapy to language/speech impaired individuals in a clinical or educational setting and/or possession of an associate's degree in speech-language pathology, or graduation from a speech-language pathology assistant certificate program.
Working Conditions

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will work in a variety of settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms. The position requires manual dexterity to operate business-related equipment and handle various materials and objects. The successful candidate will be able to sit, look down, turn neck, walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, climb stairs, lift and carry items, grasp and manipulate materials and supplies, and use seeing, hearing, and speaking continuously.
