We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Technician to join our team at Luminis Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care through direct involvement in patient care data collection and unit-specific treatments.
- Process written medical staff orders in accordance with established policy and procedure.
- Label blood tubes/lab specimens correctly and communicate STAT or urgent orders to the care provider.
- Document all care and treatment provided to patients, including height, weight, and Point of Care Testing via computerized documentation.
- Transport medications as necessary during the usual course of transporting patients within the institution, in keeping with policy and procedure regarding medication security.
- Maintain adequate levels of supplies and equipment as defined by the unit, department, or initiative.
- One year of experience as a CNA in a surgical setting.
- High School diploma/GED.
- American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification.
- Certified Nursing Assistant / Maryland Board of Nursing required.
There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. Physical demands include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
