Job Summary

The University of Central Florida Recreation and Wellness Center is seeking a PRN (as needed) athletic trainer to serve in the supervision and coordination of the Recreation and Wellness Center's overall sports medicine program. This position will be responsible for providing athletic training services for the Recreation and Wellness Center's sports programs, including injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services for the Recreation and Wellness Center's sports programs
  • Assist with the coordination and scheduling of student-athletes for medical referrals
  • Consult with the Team Physician(s) and other athletic trainers for guidance on the treatment of injured student-athletes
  • Report the status of injured student-athletes to proper RWC supervisors
  • Assist with the compilation, input, organization, and maintenance of all medical records on student-athletes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training
  • 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BOC certification in Athletic Training and a Florida state athletic training license
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Red Cross First Aid, AED & CPR Instructor Certified
  • Prior experience working as an athletic trainer in a recreational setting
