Job Title: Millwright

Delta Resources is seeking a skilled Millwright to support our operations at Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCP) in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heavy machinery and equipment, as well as supporting a test site for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) system research and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install new machines or heavy equipment, and dismantle and install machines or heavy equipment when changes in the plant layout are required.
  • Plan and lay out work, interpreting blueprints or other specifications, using a variety of hand tools and rigging.
  • Make standard shop computations relating to stresses, strength of materials, and centers of gravity, aligning and balancing equipment, selecting standard tools, equipment, and parts to be used.
  • Install and maintain in good order power transmission equipment such as drives and speed reducers.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Familiarity with navy shipboard machinery.
  • Familiarity with electrical power systems.
