Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Park Attendant at the State of Connecticut. As a Park Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to visitors, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the park, and assisting with various park operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general ticket booth services, including ringing up and accepting parking fees, selling season passes, and greeting visitors.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the park, including litter pickup, cleaning, mowing, and raking.
- Assist with various park operations, including opening and closing procedures, and performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with visitors and colleagues.
Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with visitors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail and customer service.
- Experience in custodial work, landscaping, or a related skilled trade.
Working Conditions
This is a seasonal position, working approximately 5 shifts per week, including weekends, from late-March to late-October. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
