The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer, Backend, to join our Advanced Technologies team. As a senior member, you will play a critical part in architecting, developing, and maintaining our core backend services that power our ecosystem. Your contributions will help create resilient systems bridging field-deployed hardware and advanced machine learning models, driving the platform's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust backend services in Java/Scala for scalability and accuracy.
  • Closely collaborate with Hardware and Machine Learning teams for seamless integration and accurate data handling.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and leverage ingenuity to navigate ambiguity, finding optimal solutions to improve core services.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to a collaborative environment and mentoring junior engineers where possible.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality, conduct thorough testing, and contribute to code reviews to ensure a resilient codebase.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • MS or BS in relevant engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in platform or core services development in a high-caliber tech environment.
  • Proficiency in Java/Scala, with a deep understanding of backend engineering principles, distributed systems, and data integrity.
  • Experience with systems interacting with hardware or machine learning pipelines is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex technical issues and thrive in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to working with cross-functional teams.
Estimated Salary Range: $165,000.00 to $195,000.00 annually.
