Leasing Specialist

The Leasing Professional will be responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving occupancy goals by leasing rental apartments to prospective residents. This role requires a strong understanding of the leasing process and the ability to effectively communicate with clients to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Professionally lease rental apartments to maximize income and achieve property occupancy goals.
• Conduct apartment and community tours with clients to showcase the property's features and amenities.
• Ensure that the leasing sales process is followed correctly, including completing marketing reports, applications, and leases as needed.
• Provide recommendations to management regarding apartment pricing and implement outreach marketing efforts to gain referrals from area businesses and employers.
• Shop the competition regularly by phone and in person to stay informed about market trends and competitor pricing.
• Establish professional relationships with competitors to encourage good communication and idea sharing.
• Assist with marketing ideas and suggestions to promote the property and attract new residents.
• Follow up on phone, fax, and email leads to ensure timely communication with prospective residents.
• Educate prospective residents on the application process and requirements, and process applications in a timely manner.
• Verify the validity of all documents related to the application, including credit and background checks.
• Inform future residents of their approval status and prepare new leases.
• Schedule move-in dates and conduct inspections for rent-ready apartments.
• Collect all required money for move-in and assist with leasing office tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of leasing, sales/customer service, or administrative experience.
• PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet.
• Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with highly confidential information, take initiative, and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement resolutions.
• Ability to function in a commercial office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Compensation: 18-18 Hourly Wage
