Job Title: Lead Transmission Line Engineer

Job Summary:

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in Reno or Las Vegas, NV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the power delivery transmission line engineering team and performing hands-on engineering, detail design, and studies for utility clients in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, develop, and deliver HV and EHV transmission line projects from 69kV up to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safe design in mind.
  • Work with Project Engineer and transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems.
  • Independently perform engineering and detail design drawings, studies, and analysis, plan and profile documents, prepare bidding documents and specifications, bills of materials, shop drawing review, procurement, and construction documents.
  • Support and work with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management.
  • Responsible for QA on client reports and deliverables.
  • Maintaining close coordination and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross-selling and cross-staffing opportunities.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with electric transmission line design voltages in the range of 69 to 345kv.
  • Proficient with PLS-CADD software (good to have PLS-POLE or PLS TOWER).
  • Ability to engineer and design transmission and distribution foundations, material, plan, and profiles, and construction packages. As well as execute and delivery transmission line package under minimal supervision of Lead engineer.
  • Must have knowledge of applicable NESC, NEC, ASCE, and other applicable standards in engineering and design of transmission projects.
