About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Field Engineer for High Voltage Equipment to join our team at Hitachi Energy in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and leading technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, test, commissioning, or repair of high voltage switchgear apparatus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and lead technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, test, commissioning, or repair of high voltage switchgear apparatus.
  • Supervise electricians and contractors hired by Hitachi Energy or provided by the customer.
  • Lead technical teams in the execution of complex field service operations.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs.
  • Recommend changes to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Total of 5+ years of High Voltage Substations and equipment (>69kV) at field assignments supervising erection and testing.
  • Technical certificate in an electrical or mechanical related field.
  • Preferrable Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven leadership experience coordinating and leading crew on electrical projects installation.
  • Experience working with Power Utilities.
  • Knowledge to operate test equipment, such as CB timers, power factor, TTR, ductor, CT testers.
  • Familiarity with windows applications.

Salary: $150,000 - $220,000 per year.
