About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes, performing field claim analysis, and conducting regular quality audits. The ideal candidate should have experience in the automotive industry and a strong understanding of quality assurance procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and required quality standards.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning factors such as production capabilities, quality issue trends, customer complaints, and 4M changes.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize quality costs.
  • Suggest and debate alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing customer requirements.
  • Directly engage with customers and suppliers and HQ regarding warranty-related items.
  • Maintain databases and all documents relating to Quality Inspection Reports (QIR), and find root causes and countermeasures for quality defects.
  • Cooperate with Headquarters in Korea on monthly Quality Status.
  • Cooperate with Quality Control to analyze assembly line processes and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with OEM on returned part root cause analysis and other QA events.
  • Execute on-site supplier audits for quality improvement to assure validity and reliability of manufacturing and quality processes of suppliers.
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, including attending safety meetings and conducting safety meetings when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be fluent in Korean and English, written and spoken languages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Having an experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on quality control and assurance.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations, including ISO/TS 16949 and IATF 16949, is preferred.
  • Working experience with Hyundai/Mobis is preferred.
  • Bilingual, Korean/English is a plus.
