Role Summary: As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing environmental initiatives that ensure compliance with regulations while promoting sustainability. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a diverse team of professionals dedicated to environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems, including production workflows, wastewater management, stormwater control, air quality impacts, chemical handling, and waste management practices to support informed decision-making and regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct site assessments and facility evaluations to collect data for project documentation.
  • Prepare technical reports and assist in the creation of client proposals.
  • Collaborate with various industrial stakeholders.
  • Interpret and apply environmental regulations and guidelines effectively.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with supervisors, project leaders, team members, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor environmental metrics and progress, providing recommendations for ongoing improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), wastewater management, Title V air compliance, or Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste management.
  • Expertise in air permitting, stormwater permitting, wastewater permitting, and large quantity hazardous waste generator regulations.
  • Experience in executing technical projects related to environmental compliance and due diligence.
  • Background in environmental engineering or a related scientific discipline, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Ability to design systems and tools that safeguard air, water, soil, and other environmental components.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations to ensure adherence to environmental laws and regulations.
  • Draft and present reports on environmental engineering initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance on environmental remediation to governmental entities, private sector clients, and community organizations.
  • Perform research on potential environmental impacts of proposed projects.
  • Engage in data analysis to support environmental initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
