Job Title: Financial Director

Centrus Energy is seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for implementing and planning financial activities across all aspects of our project entity level, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with management and project controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Ensure financial integrity of project work breakdown structures and ensure proper budget and reporting categories.
  • Review and validate financial reports and ensure compliance with established procedures.
Accounting Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure accounting classifications and consistency between accounting periods.
  • Recommend and maintain proper accounting principles, practices, procedures, and records.
  • Contribute to regular general ledger processes, analysis, reconciliations, and closings.
  • Review and approve journal entries as necessary.
Tax Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with HQ to prepare and review tax reports for Federal Corporate and R&D Tax Credit returns, Personal Tangible Property Tax returns, and PILOT's for Counties and State Sales and Use Tax returns.
Procurement Responsibilities:
  • Track and review prepayments.
  • Review accounting coding for all project requisitions.
  • Investigate invoice correctness and completeness.
  • Approve invoices for payment and ensure compliance with established procedures.
Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining internal accounting control policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Project Accounting.
  • SEC Reporting.
  • CAS Accounting.
Professional Skills:
  • Develop and implement financial systems, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain day-to-day working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform short- and long-term financial analysis, modeling, variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Maintain and enhance managerial reporting in an objective and fiduciary manner.
  • Develop recommended courses of action to support and enhance prudent business decisions.
Technical Capabilities:
  • Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Computer-based financial and accounting systems (including Oracle).
  • Inventory/CWIP management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
  • CPA Certification.
  • Fifteen (15) years relevant experience.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made.

In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

This position will require a pre-employment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a DOE security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.

Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
