Job Summary

The Roadside Commercial Tire Technician will be responsible for changing commercial tires, loader, and farm tires, as well as performing tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive roadside service and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Change commercial tires, loader, and farm tires
  • Perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels
  • Remove or replace mounted tire assembly from vehicles
  • Recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are not repairable
  • Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders, and/or invoices
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Use all provided safety equipment, such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses, and communicate equipment needs
  • Report all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions, problems, or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
  • Perform daily maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Review service work orders for complete information, such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires, valves, before giving to the store manager
  • Ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork
  • Perform miscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt services to our customers
Requirements
  • Driver's License and clean driving record required
  • DOT Medical card required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Commercial Driver's License preferred
  • Automotive roadside experience preferred

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to exert 75 to 125 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The position also requires frequent reaching, handling, and identifying and distinguishing colors. Occasionally, the position requires climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling.
